Daniel C. Kim, MD Appointed to NASS Leadership Roles

Daniel C. Kim, MD, orthopaedic spine surgeon at The Spine Center at Andrews Sports Medicine, was recently appointed to serve in two leadership roles with the North American Spine Society (NASS).

Member of the Section on Robotics, Emerging Technologies & MIS 
This section brings the thought leaders in minimally invasive spine surgery, robotics and emerging technology together outside of the confines of the industry to improve the level of education offered to the NASS membership and also provides a more neutral voice to payers and other stake-holders considering coverage questions for these procedures. The section will present an unbiased instruction on minimally invasive techniques, robotics, navigation, endoscopy, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. 

Early Career Advisory Council
This council develops recommendations and initiatives of relevance to younger members and presents these programs for review and approval to the NASS Board of Directors. The Council includes representatives from eligible NASS standing committees, task forces, sections and other volunteer groups, and up to 10 at-large members per term.

Dr. Kim's Prior NASS Recognition
SpineLine debuted its 20 Under 40 campaign in 2018 to showcase NASS' bring, young physicians under the age of 40. The SpineLine Committee selects the most deserving individuals based on accomplishments to date, community service, and philosophy of care. 
Dr. Kim as recognized as one of the 2022 recipients of of this prestegous award, SpineLines "20 under 40."
