Conditions + Treatments
Bill:
In early 2015 I began experiencing excruciating pain in my right hip, which increased to the point that I couldn't walk well, couldn't play golf, nor do other normal every day activities. I saw my primary care doctor as well as an orthopedic, and tried anti-inflammatory medication along with physical therapy, none of which brought relief.
I was blessed to find Dr. Jeffrey Davis and his wonderful staff! My hip replacement surgery was on November 9, 2015. I can now walk normally, travel, enjoy the beach, play golf several times a week, work in the yard and other things that make life full and fun!
Freda and I have been able to go on trips with our student group from church (I'm the bus driver!) and we teach active 9th Graders in Sunday School. God is good!
Freda:
In the spring of 2014 I had a fall while working on a landscaping project, and immediately began having problems on my left side. My lower back and hip hurt, and as time went on I experienced times where my left leg would simply give way, causing me to fall. From my primary care doctor, I was referred to an orthopedic, who performed a couple of procedures and prescribed a lot of medication.
In late 2014, I saw a neurosurgeon who ordered a total of three epidurals, none of which brought any relief. Another specialist found and drained a synovial cyst on my spine. Again, no relief.
During this time, Bill developed problems with his right hip, and Dr. Davis performed his hip replacement. After Bill's surgery, I became a patient of Dr. Davis also, and he found that my left hip had to be replaced. My surgery was on April 4, 2016.
I have been able to resume Yoga classes, do new landscaping projects, walk as much as I want on the beach, travel, work with students at church and keep up with our Grandchildren. God certainly has blessed Bill and me, and we are so very thankful for Dr. Jeffrey Davis and his wonderful staff!
