St. Vincent’s Birmingham, which is a part of Ascension, is the only hospital in the state and one of only two hospitals in the country to offer multiple Mazor Renaissance Robots for minimally invasive spinal surgery.
The Mazor Robotics Renaissance System allows spine surgeons to pre-plan the surgery in a virtual 3D environment creating a surgical blueprint, or personalized plan, for a more precise operation.
Each patient has a unique case and anatomy- because of this, a surgeon must personalize a specific patient’s surgical plan. The Mazor Robotics system allows the surgeon to more accurately carry out the personalized surgery.
For those suffering from a multitude of spinal conditions such as degenerative disc disease, herniated disc, kyphosis or spondylolisthesis could be a candidate for minimally invasive surgery with Mazor Robotics.
