Dr. Rothermich is one of only two orthopaedic surgeons in Birmingham, Alabama who has been extensively trained to utilize Zimmer Biomet's ROSA® Robotic Knee System for total knee replacements.

Dr. Rothermich believes that all patients, from recreational “weekend warriors” to elite athletes, deserve and should expect a high attention to detail and a shared decision making process to optimize their outcomes.

The Rothermichs lived in Birmingham during his fellowship training at Andrews Sports Medicine and realized very quickly that it was where they wanted to plant roots and raise their family. They have three children, Ben, Ella, and Teddy and enjoy exploring Alabama with family hikes on the weekends.

Dr. Rothermich is also an active recreational athlete, finishing several marathons against the advice of his wife and multiple orthopaedic providers.
