Jonathan graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science. He then went on to complete his Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy at the University of South Alabama. Berry is also certified in hand therapy, specialized rehabilitation of the upper limb that combines comprehensive knowledge of upper extremity anatomy and pathology with function and activity.
He especially enjoys custom splint fabrication, post-operative care, Dry Needling, athletic injuries, and forming encouraging relationships with his patients during their progress.
A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is a therapist who has a minimum of three years of clinical experience, including more than 4,000 hours in direct practice in upper extremity care. In addition, a CHT has successfully passed a comprehensive post-professional exam of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper extremity rehabilitation. Because of progression in the field, every CHT is required to demonstrate continued professional development and competency by recertifying every five years.
Jonathan works in the Hand Therapy department as an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). He is located at our Pelham clinic and collaborates with orthopedic surgeons Christopher M.Beaumont and Kathleen E. Mckeon as well as many of our other surgical and non-surgical physicians who have injuries of the elbow, wrist, and hand.
